Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NDK) Delegation headed by NDK's President Dr. Zafer DEMIRCAN attended the 65th General Conference organized by the IAEA in Vienna on 20-24 September 2021.
The NDK Delegation headed by the President Dr. Zafer DEMİRCAN attended the 65th General Conference held in Vienna on 20-24 September 2021 by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
The delegation headed by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority's (NDK) President Zafer DEMİRCAN participated in the 65th General Conference organized by the IAEA in Vienna. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, TENMAK and NUTED officials also attended the General Conference.
The member states of the IAEA attended the General Conference at which decisions were taken to reinforce the contribution of nuclear science and technology to the welfare of humanity and the development of peace all over the world.
The President of the NDK, Mr. Demircan attended the opening conference on Monday, September 20, 2021. During the conference, Mr. Demircan held talks with the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of the Russian Federation (Rostechnadzor), the State Nuclear Regulatory Committee of Ukraine (SNRCU), the Department of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Belarus (Gosatomnadzor), the Hungarian Atomic Energy Agency ( Heads of HAEA), Finnish Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK), Bulgarian Nuclear Regulatory Agency (BNRA), Czechia Nuclear Safety Office (SÚJB), Slovakian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (ÚJD SR), the IAEA Department of Nuclear Infrastructure Development EURATOM and Western European Nuclear Regulators Association (WENRA). It was agreed to sign Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation, sharing experience, and technical knowledge in the field of nuclear energy and radiation protection with the negotiating countries.
NDK delegation members also attended the official dinner organized by Ambassador Ahmet Muhtar GÜN, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the Office of the United Nations (UN) Vienna.
