The delegation of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority of Türkiye (NDK) attended the 70th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), held in Vienna from 14 to 18 September 2026.
This year's IAEA General Conference brought together 3,673 participants from 150 countries and international organizations. The Conference opened with the delivery of national statements by Member States and continued with numerous bilateral and multilateral meetings and side events.
In this context, the NDK delegation held a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings with delegations from the nuclear regulatory bodies of Member States and from international organizations and a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed with the Agency of Nuclear and Radiation Safety of Georgia (ANRS). Furthermore, the Türkiye stand, set up for the first time this year and officially opened by IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi, attracted considerable interest and was visited by a large number of Conference participants.
