Nuclear Security Guidance Committee
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)
Established in 2012, the Nuclear Safety Guidance Committee (NSGC) is a standing body of senior representatives in the area of nuclear security and is open to all the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Member States. Committee members are appointed by the IAEA for three-year terms. During Committee meetings, studies are conducted to review, develop, and update the Nuclear Security Series publications, with careful consideration of current priorities. In this regard, the Committee ensures that the draft safety standards prepared by the Safety Standards Committees (EPReSC, NUSSC, RASCC, TRANSSC, WASSC) and the safety-security interface issues submitted by Member States are thoroughly addressed and reviewed in both Safety and Security publications. The NDK actively participates in the meetings of the Nuclear Security Guidance Committee (NSGC).
