Dr. İsmail Hakkı Arıkan
Second Chairperson
He was born in Sivas in 1967.
He graduated from Hacettepe University, Faculty of Engineering, Department of Nuclear Energy Engineering. He completed his master's degree in Hacettepe University Health Sciences Institute Radiation Oncology Department, his doctorate in Ankara University Social Sciences Institute Social Environmental Sciences Department. He also completed the War Academies Command National Security Academy 51st Term training programs.
He worked as a Research Assistant at Hacettepe University Nuclear Energy Engineering Department; Engineer at Turkish Atomic Energy Authority (TAEK), Head of Radiation Health and Safety Department, Vice President of Nuclear Power and Security, Member of Atomic Energy Commission and Member of TAEK Executive Board; He served as a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Board and the Second Chairperson of the Nuclear Regulatory Board at the Nuclear Regulatory Authority.
He was reassigned to the Second Chairperson of the Nuclear Regulatory Board with the Presidential Decison dated 22/2/2023 and numbered 2023/92.
Mehmet Fatih Alptekin

Mehmet Fatih Alptekin was born in Ankara in 1976, where he completed his primary, secondary and high school education. He graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Law in 2000. He finished his master's degree at Ankara University, Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Public Law.
After completing his law internship in 2001, he worked as a freelance lawyer. In 2004, he was appointed as a Consultant in the Department of National Palaces (Istanbul) under the Presidency of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. In 2010, he was appointed as a Legal Advisor to the Turkish Grand National Assembly. Lastly, he served as the Vice President of the Legal Services Department of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
Alptekin was appointed as a Board Member of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority in 2019; Alptekin is married.
He was reassigned to the Second Chairperson of the Nuclear Regulatory Board with the Presidential Decision dated 22/2/2023 and numbered 2023/93.
Suat Ünal

He was born in 1966 in Ankara, where he completed his primary, secondary and high school education. He graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry, in 1991. He finished the English Preparatory Department of Ankara University, Institute of Science and Technology. He completed his master's degree in Organic Chemistry Department of Chemistry at the same Institute.
He served as Research Assistant in Ankara University Department of Chemistry, the Department of Organic Chemistry, as a Chemist at the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency, Deputy Director TAEK-Sarayköy Nuclear Research and Training Center, as Vice President of Nuclear Power and Security at Atomic Energy Commission Member and as the Chairman of the Board and the Deputy ChairmanTAEK Executive.Most recently, he served as the Vice President of the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mining Research Institute.
Ünal was appointed as a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority Board with the Presidential Decree dated 21.04.2021 and numbered 2021/197. He is married and has two children.
Memduh Fatih Çınar

He was born in 1982. He completed his primary education in Çanakkale and his secondary and high school education in Konya. He completed his master's degree (MBA) at Gazi University, Department of Business Administration, Management and Organization. He graduated from Hacettepe University Engineering Faculty Nuclear Energy Engineering Department in 2005 and Anadolu University Business Administration Department in 2014.
He started his career as an engineer in a private company in the defence sector. He held several managerial positions in the same company.
In 2011, he started his public service as an engineer at the Turkish Atomic Energy Agency (TAEK). He worked as a unit coordinator in TAEK Sarayköy Nuclear Research Center, as an engineer in TAEK Radiation Health and Safety Department, an engineer/consultant in the Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, Deputy Head of TAEK Research, Development and Coordination Department and Deputy Head of TAEK Foreign Relations Department. Since 2019, he has served as the Head of Department in the Nuclear Regulatory Authority, Department of External Relations, Department of Support Services, and Department of Security and Safeguards.
Çınar was appointed as a member of the Nuclear Regulatory Board with the President's Decision dated 26/4/2022 and numbered 2022/178. He is married and has two children.
