Electron Beam Irradiation Facilities
SCOPE
"1st and 2nd Class Electron Beam Irradiation Facilities"
- Particle accelerator facilities with less than 10 MeV energy
- X-ray irradiation facilities with less than 5 MeV energy
INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ELECTRON BEAM IRADIATION FACILITY LICENSE
1. Petition regarding the request,
2. Two (2) Application Forms (I)
3. A copy of the science or engineering diploma of the person who will be responsible for radiation protection and a copy of the training document on radiation protection (II)
4. The operator must have received at least a certificate of achievement from the radiation safety training program organized by the Authority after vocational high school or technical high school education. (III)
5. Two (2) approved architectural projects in 1/100 scale prepared according to the Project Shielding Report received from the Authority,
6. Names and addresses of the designer, manufacturer, producer and assembler companies of the facility
7. Work flow program for the construction of the facility (IV)
8. Relevant sections of the facility's safety analysis report (IV)
9. Applying for a license;
a) If it is a real person, a copy of the tax certificate
b) If it is a private company, a copy of the trade registry gazette and tax certificate
c) If it is an association or foundation, a copy of the document showing the parent organization and a copy of the tax certificate.
IMPORTANT NOTE : Evaluation of the application and licensing procedures will be carried out in accordance with Article 15 of the Regulation on the Safety and Licensing of Gamma and Electron Beam Irradiation Facilities.
DESCRIPTIONS
I. After completing the preliminary application form for Class 2 Electron Beam Irradiation Facility, the application form is filled together with article 13-e of the Regulation on the Safety and Licensing of Gamma and Electron Beam Irradiation Facilities (mounting permission).
II. The adequacy of the approved document showing the lessons learned and their contents related to radiation protection is evaluated by the Authority.
III. The course to be organized by the Authority for the operator who will work in the irradiation facility.
IV. It will be prepared in accordance with Annex-1/2 of the Regulation on the Safety and Licensing of Gamma and Electron Beam Irradiation Facilities. (Official Gazette Date and Number: 18.06.1994/21964)
Gamma Iradiation Facility
SCOPE
2nd, 3rd and 4th Class Gamma Irradiation Facilities
REQUIRED INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS FOR GAMMA IRADIATION FACILITY LICENSE
1. Two (2) Application Forms (I)
2. Copy of the science or engineering diploma of the person who will be responsible for radiation protection and a copy of the training document on radiation protection (II)
3. The operator must have received a certificate of achievement from the radiation safety training program organized by the Authority, after at least technical high school education. (III)
4. Names and addresses of the designer, manufacturer, producer and mounting companies of the facility,
5. Work flow program for the construction of the facility
6. Relevant sections of the facility's safety analysis report (IV)
7. The applicant for a license;
