Environmental Radiological Monitoring Activities

Environmental radiological monitoring activities carried out in our country are coordinated by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority pursuant to the decree "To carry out or ensure the execution of the national radiation monitoring activity", which is listed among the duties and authorizations of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority in Article 5 of the Presidential Decree numbered 95 "Presidential Decree on the Organization and Duties of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority" published in the Official Gazette dated 08/03/2022 and numbered 31772.

Within the scope of environmental radiological monitoring activities, the report entitled “Iğdır Region Environmental Radiological Monitoring Program Evaluation Report 2013-2016”, which covers radiological monitoring in Iğdır region, has been published.

Recently, within the scope of agreement signed between the Nuclear Regulatory Authority and the Turkish Energy, Nuclear and Mineral Research Agency, environmental radiological monitoring activities in Iğdır has been carried out by the Nuclear Regulatory Authority since 2021.
