Environmental Radioactivity Atlas
Emergency and Environmental Monitoring
Soil and water samples were taken from 81 provinces and radiologically analyzed within the framework of the environmental radioactivity monitoring activity carried out in order to detect significant changes in the natural and artificial radiation levels of the environment, to evaluate the extent of radioactive contamination after an accident, and to accurately determine the effects of environmental radioactivity on human health and the environment. In this context, the data on the radioactivity in the surface soil and the radioactivity levels in drinking and utility waters were evaluated at the district level all over Türkiye and published as an atlas on the maps. Coloring has been done in the atlas to show the relative differences in radioactivity levels.
