Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities

The authorities and responsibilities of president of inspection department are regulated with “Nuclear Regulatory Authority Organization Regulation” published in Official Gazette dated 25.04.2019 numbered 30755.

  • Before or after the authorization, to conduct or to be conducted inspections and inspections conducted about the devices, substances, activities and places, related facilities, institutions and organizations, within its scope of duty and authority; to make or have measurement, analysis, inspection, testing within the scope of inspection and inspection activities; to meet with the people they deem necessary and to conduct examinations, research and investigations on matters they deem necessary, and to give instructions; to request, examine or make them examined, retain all kinds of documents and records; to take, remove, retain, properly dispose of any material or sample; keeping visual, audio or written records.
  • To prepare annual inspection programs regarding activities in coordination with the relevant departments.
  • To carry out the works and transactions regarding the implementation of administrative sanctions in matters within its scope of duty and authority, in coordination with the relevant departments. To carry out the works and transactions related to administrative sanctions in matters that do not require coordination with other departments, in coordination with the Legal Services Department.
  • To prepare drafts of regulatory acts and guidelines on matters under its mandate and jurisdiction; To follow the relevant national and international regulations, activities and developments and to carry out the necessary business and transactions in order to fulfill their obligations.
  • Purchasing services from specialized public institutions and organizations, authorized private law legal entities and real persons, in order to conduct examinations, research, determination and reporting in a manner that is not binding on the Authority in terms of its inspection authority and responsibilities.
  • To inform the authorized person about the findings determined as a result of the inspection activities, to follow the works and transactions of the authorized person regarding the findings, to report the findings that are not closed positively to the relevant service units and to conclude the works and transactions stipulated in the relevant legislation in coordination.
  • To carry out the work and procedures for the authorization of the inspectors of the authority.
  • While performing its duties, to request and evaluate all kinds of information and documents that deemed necessary, from all real and legal persons, including public authorities and organizations, or to examine them on site.
  • To cooperate with the authorities and organizations of other countries and international organizations in matters falling within its scope of duty and jurisdiction, and to carry out cooperation and transactions in order to ensure participation in the joint studies carried out with these organizations.
  • To ensure the training of its personnel and the development of their qualifications in matters within its scope of duty.
  • To provide the services needed in the fields of duty.
