Duties, Authorities, and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the Department of External Relations are regulated by Article 20 of Presidential Decree No:95 on Organization and Duties of the Nuclear Regulatory Authority:

  • To carry out the works and procedures related to cooperation with the institutions and organizations of other countries and international organizations on matters falling within the scope of duty and authority of the Authority and to ensure internal coordination in the meetings to be held with these organizations.
  • To organize, support, or participate in scientific meetings such as national and international congresses and seminars; to cooperate with relevant domestic and foreign institutions; to participate in joint studies; or to coordinate the activities carried out with these organizations.
  • To provide or have the translation and interpreting services required by the Authority provided.
  • To carry out the works and procedures related to the bilateral and multilateral agreements and contracts to which the Authority is a party.
  • To follow up and coordinate the implementation of bilateral cooperation agreements signed with regulatory agencies of other countries.
  • Carrying out the works and procedures regarding the signing of cooperation protocols with other institutions and organizations in order to cooperate on the issues falling within the scope of duty and authority of the Authority, to follow the protocols signed with other public institutions and organizations, and to coordinate their implementation.
  • To follow up on the works and procedures related to membership in international organizations, dues, and similar payments to be made to these organizations in matters falling within the scope of the duty and authority.
  • To carry out the works and procedures related to the overseas assignments of the Authority's personnel, as well as to ensure the transportation and accommodation of those assigned abroad.
  • To perform other duties assigned by the President.
